MATERIALS

The Pistol

one 5-gallon plastic bucket (available at hardware stores)

1 heavy-duty large rubber band, approximately 5" diameter, 15" circumference

1 eye hook

one 18" × 18" piece of plastic sheet (4–6 mm thickness; a plastic shower curtain liner works well)

duct tape

1 piece of scrap wood (a short length of 2" × 4" will do)

1 golf ball

one 9" length of 1" × 3" strapping

one 6" length of 1" × 3" strapping

one 2" drywall screw

two 11/4" drywall screws

The Base and Target

one 24" piece 1" × 3" strapping

two 4" pieces of 1" × 3" strapping

six 11/4" drywall screws

1 scrap of 2" × 4" approximately 6" long

6 paper or Styrofoam cups
